Join our team as a Public Affairs & Communications Manager (f/m/x) within our External Affairs division, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping external perceptions, influencing policy outcomes, and building essential relationships in the food industry's revolution through fermentation products. Responsibilities 

Public Affairs/Government Relations

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, strategies responses, and engage with policymakers to shape favorable regulatory environments.
  • Advocate for favourable policies and regulations supporting fermentation products, while building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to advocate for policies supporting the development and commercialization of fermentation products.

Corporate Communications

  • Develop and execute corporate communication strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels and securing relevant public speaking opportunities.
  • Craft and position Op-eds, CEO interviews, and other communication materials to enhance the company's reputation and credibility.
  • Enhance the company's visibility by effectively communicating achievements, milestones, and industry insights.

Public Relations

  • Lead strategic public relations initiatives, securing media placements and managing press inquiries to generate positive media coverage.
  • Support talent acquisition, investor relations, and partnership development efforts through effective PR campaigns.
  • Work with journalists and opinion shapers to create buzz around fermentation technologies and the company's initiatives.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Business, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or corporate communications, preferably in agri-food or biotech.
  • Proven track record of influencing policy outcomes and shaping regulatory environments.
  • Strong network of contacts within EU policymakers, German government officials, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience in media relations and developing strategic communication plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with a passion for sustainability and innovation in the food industry.
  • Fluent in German and English (both verbally and written)
