Job description

We are looking for a passionate Technician who will work alongside the food scientists, product developers and technicians to support our experimental work. Monitoring the performance of our products during the scale up and over the shelf life will be an important part. The method portfolio includes physicochemical analyses, rheological and textural measurements as well as sensory evaluation.


Your Responsibilities

  • Execute and document experiments and analyses according to protocols

  • Assist food scientists and product developers with research of improvements to product safety, quality and processing methods

  • Be responsible for maintenance of equipment, chemicals, and consumables

  • Summarize results in reports and presentations and update Team members about findings

  • Work efficiently and cooperatively with Formo’s team of researchers and proactively support all aspects of the lab’s research

  • Train and instruct newcomers on the correct use of lab equipment

Job requirements

  • Successfully completed training as a laboratory technician (CTA, BTA, MTA); alternatively, Bachelors' Degree in a related discipline (food science, biology, biochemistry)

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Ability to compose technical reports and attention to details

  • Ability to anticipate, recognise, solve equipment and laboratory problems

  • Knowledge of standard safety regulations and appropriate laboratory practices

  • Ability to adapt and learn in a changing work environment
